Fact!: Outside steel-framed homes look no different from wood.  Inside will reveal straighter walls and a true quality home.  Some of HSFs homes have appraised out higher than the cost to build.  They usually have a higher resale value.

Myths: "Steel-framed homes interfere with TV & radio reception."
Fact!: No difference in reception for TV or any electrical appliance.

Myths: "Steel-framed homes are less efficient than wood framed homes."
Fact!: Steel framed homes can be designed to meet or exceed governmental energy efficiency standards.

Myths: "Steel-framed homes are more likely to be struck by lightning."
Fact!: Steel-framed homes do not attract lightning, fact is, a steel frame creates a positive earth, a lightning strike will have no effect.  The energy is allowed to go straight to the ground, and is not dissipated destructively as in conventional framing.

Myths: "Steel-framed homes rust."
Fact!: Steel-framing is galvanized which protects against rust.

Myths: "Steel-framed homes, difficult to hang pictures or anything on walls."
Fact!: You just replace screws for nails easy to find studs with nail finder.  Also can use standard picture hangers purchased at hardware stores.
